Ten Strings And A Goat Skin
Ten Strings And A Goat SkinTEN STRING AND A GOAT SKIN, a young award wining bilingual trad/fusion trio that celebrates the music of the Irish, Francophone and Maritime cultures, integrates modern and world rhythms with traditional & original tunes to create a fiery infectious energy and unique sound that is, increasingly, catching the attention of Eastern Canadian and International venues and stages.

Building on a base of much loved traditional Maritime music with a good dose of originality and innovation, the boys grab both French and English audience right from the first note. They easily connect with audiences while they create an atmosphere that is pure fun. “These three young guys are extraordinary musicians and are unlike any trad/Acadian band you’ve ever heard. You’ve got to see them to believe them.” Mike Campbell, The Carleton

Milestones saw the group making waves on both English and Francophone venues at the 2011 and 2012 ECMAs and their début bilingual album, TRI, was awarded MUSIC PEI’s 2012 Roots Traditional Recording of the Year and was nominated for the 2012 ECMA Roots Traditional Group Recording of the Year. Traveling ever further afield, the group was recently nominated for Music PEI's 2013 SpinCount Touring Artists of the Year.

Touted as "the busiest and hardest working band on PEI," the group now includes Maritime Canada's major folk music festivals on their resume, having performed at The Stan Rogers Folk Festival, The Halifax Urban Folk Festival and The Canadian Irish Festival as well as The Festival of Small Halls and numerous. local French & English music festivals and cultural events closer to home. They have been invited to the Boston Irish Festival, Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival and the are booked into Summerfest USA 2014, the worlds largest music festival.
